Rajakilpakkam is a suburban region of Chennai to the south of the city, close to East Tambaram in Tamil Nadu.

Positioned in 4 km from Madras Christian College, the area is a prominent core of differ religious communities. Madambakkam Hugh Road links from Velachery Road at Rajakilpakkam, fetching to the community of Nuthanchery. There is the renowned, over 300 year’s old temple of Lord Shiva, and the eminent commissioned Mahameru temple, featuring an immense assembly of “Sithars”.

A most prominent temple identified to Lord Anjaneyar (also known a Lord Hanuman) is the Maruthy Nagar Anjaneyar Temple. The temple recently also has a sacrificed sanctum for Lord Rama seated opposite to Lord Anjaneyar within the temple.
